Ken Pieper

Ken Pieper

Ken Pieper’s first artistic recognition was discovered by his mother in 1945 at the early age of 4 years old. He always asked her to take him to his dad’s Air Corp base so he could draw the airplanes that were sitting on the tarmac. Ken early years really didn’t produce the drive to develop into an artist even though he did attend local Commercial Art classes and through the Famous Artist Institutes correspondence courses when he was 14, which again was encouraged by his mother. Ken simply found that he had rather roam the vast areas of the ranch land where he lived than sitting at a drawing board or easel.

In 1965 Ken became acquainted with an Architectural Illustrator and immediately was attracted to a career that would match his construction background with his artistic talents and training. He created a company that would serve Homebuilders, Developers, Architects, and the Realtor community throughout the country and would eventually produce thousands of illustrations and home designs for many clients for over 56 years. Ken would also refine his fine art applications along the way but not offering the works to the public.

His passion for creating fine art landscapes and documenting timeless Architectural Structures here and abroad is now becoming a full-time pursuit since he has mostly retired from the design business. Moving forward and creating his best artwork, Ken Pieper’s fine art efforts continue to become legacy works for his collectors to enjoy for many years ahead.  Ken has been represented in galleries in Texas, New Mexico, and the Rocky Mountains for the last 10 years and is honored to be a part of the Taos Artist’s Collective.

“When I started my business in 1965, I set forth the goal of producing my best efforts always for my clients in any endeavor I was asked to do, I still do today with my Fine Art”. This simple, mostly self-taught man continues to learn and seek to create the best possible art for his collectors.
