Biography

About the Artist

My art is an adventure and exploration into the unknown, the unseen and the unexpected. For all my life, this area of life has fascinated me. Having started out in art instruction on the traditional path of art; still life, portrait and landscape, I quickly found out that there was another

world to explore that interested me more... the world that one cannot see with the physical eye, but that one can intuitively feel.

This pull became a reality when I met Herman Rednick in Taos, NM, in 1970. He came out of the Transcendental Movement of the early 20th Century. Herman's work was professional, and

profoundly higher realm metaphysical, as well as esoteric and devotional and that is whatcaught my attention. Herman's work spoke directly to my deeply aspirational heart. I apprenticedwith him for many years.

In 1989, I began an intense 8 year study with Steward Cupley and Michele Cassou in San Francisco, CA. Steward and Michele's work gave me the freedom to explore a broader field...

the common human realms of grief, suffering and joy; the unlimited expression of the feeling

human nature.

Now with these tools, and the brush in hand, I paint as I am moved.

I have been in many shows and have work in private collections all over the country. Right now

in 2025, I show my work in Taos, NM, at the Taos Artist Collective and OmNiHum Gallery.
